| dc.description.abstract | The rapid transformation of labor markets in Latin America, driven by digitalization and productive transition, calls for innovative tools to anticipate and manage skills demand. This technical note examines the strategic role of occupational and skills taxonomies as key instruments to identify gaps, guide public policies, and improve employability. It analyzes governance models, methodologies for construction and updating, and the sustainability challenges of regional and international initiatives. Finally, it offers practical recommendations for countries interested in developing their own systems, highlighting the importance of interinstitutional collaboration, local capacity building, and continuous learning to address the challenges of the 21st century. |
