The Institutional Strategy serves as a roadmap for the IDB Group's work, charting a path toward sustainable economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Strategy takes into account the profound changes we have witnessed in the Region over the past two decades and reflects the consensus of the Bank's shareholders as to what our priorities should be. Every four years the IDB Group reviews its Institutional Strategy. This document is the Update to the Institutional Strategy (UIS), which reflects the changing conditions and priorities in the Region and the principles that guide the work of the IDB Group's employees. The Board of Governors of the IDB approved the UIS on March 29, 2015 during the Annual Meeting in Busan, Korea. The UIS will chart a course for our work over the next four years.
