| dc.description.abstract | This policy discussion brief has been prepared jointly by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), World Bank, and United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) as the basis for discussion among the Ministers during the Fifth Meeting of Finance Ministers of the Americas and the Caribbean, held in Washington DC, on October 9, 2013.Overall direction for the preparation of this brief was provided by Santiago Levy, Vice-President for Sectors and Knowledge (IDB), Hasan Tuluy, Vice-President for Latin America and the Caribbean (World Bank), and Alicia Bárcena, Executive Secretary (ECLAC). The brief was prepared by a team that included Antoni Estevadeordal, Paolo Giordano and Ziga Vodusek (IDB), Augusto de la Torre and Daniel Lederman (World Bank), Juan Alberto Fuentes and Jürgen Weller (ECLAC). The Integration and Trade Sector of the IDB, acting as the Technical Secretariat of the Meeting of Finance Ministers of the Americas and the Caribbean, coordinated the production of this brief and provided other technical support to the process. |
