After investigating various existing options in the market with no result, the IDB, in close collaboration with the International Water Association (IWA), developed AquaRating (www.AquaRating. org), a tool allowing comprehensive and objective evaluation of all areas and processes in the value chain for companies providing potable water and sanitation services; identifying potential opportunities for improving strategic indicators and applying better practices, and defining a baseline for developing processes for continuous improvement, innovation, learning, and change management.
