Technical Notes
This technical note presents the IDB's methodological framework for planning knowledge agendas-strategic action plans that align knowledge priorities with institutional goals to inform decisions and actions, improve the design of projects, and strengthen the feedback loop between analysis and operations. Built on five core components (Align, Assess, Consult, Prioritize, and Plan), the framework helps knowledge producers and teams move beyond fragmented efforts toward more consistent knowledge agendas. Although developed to support IDB teams, the framework can be adapted to different institutional contexts at the country, sectoral, or regional level. The case of Mexico illustrates its application, showing how analytical priorities were aligned with the IDB's Country Strategy and the Government's Development Plan.
