The study collects the experiences and impressions of the women who own Brazil nut concessions in Madre de Dios, Peru, obtained during the development of the project "Mitigating deforestation in Brazil nut concessions in Madre de Dios, Peru". For this, 105 surveys, 16 interviews and 4 focus groups were carried out, which allowed the gathering of sociodemographic information, as well as getting to know the degree of participation of the women owners in the different stages of the Brazil nut harvesting chain. Likewise, the perceptions of women about access to ownership of the concessions; the benefits, disadvantages, and existing problems; their relationship with the forest; the role they play throughout the stages of the harvesting chain; the relationship they maintain with different actors; and their political participation in spaces such as Brazil nut associations, among others, have been gathered in this document.
