This issue of Micro Enterprise Development Review begins with the article "The Continent's Poor: A new Niche for Traditional Banks?" which describes how traditional banks successfully entered into the microfinance field and provides case studies from Mexico and Brazil, followed by a discussion of lessons learned. The second article discusses credit guarantee systems as a measure to facilitate access to credit for micro, small, and medium sized enterprises.
