dc.description.abstractThis report analyzes current trends in money transfers, paying attention to the gradual decline in costs and some of the factors influencing the decline. The report also highlights the fact that both banking and nonbanking financial institutions, such as microfinance institutions, are increasingly becoming major payers of money in Latin America and the Caribbean.
