| dc.description.abstract | This publication presents six stories of implementing teams that, across different countries in the region, carried out projects with economic and social impact amid significant challenges. These are the finalists of Superheroes of Development, the initiative through which the IDB Group recognizes and highlights cases that are not only successful but also generate valuable lessons. Insights that can and should be shared with other teams to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of future projects. From strategies in education, workforce training, and health, to programs in electrification, connectivity, and productive development, the experiences presented here reflect the knowledge “loop” promoted by the Bank: operations that generate evidence, and evidence that strengthens the design and implementation of new interventions. |
