dc.description.abstractThis publication compiles the experiences and lessons learned from the Early Childhood Development Innovation Fund (ECD Fund), an alliance between the IDB and several donors (Fundación FEMSA, Van Leer Foundation, Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation, Porticus, and Open Society Foundations) that supports innovative early childhood development projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. From its creation in 2017 until its closure in 2025, the ECD Fund invested a total of US$10 million in 23 projects across 10 countries, benefiting more than 700,000 children, 300,000 parents, mothers, and caregivers, as well as 5,000 childcare centers.
