| dc.description.abstract | Conducted in collaboration with the Foro del Sur Foundation and facilitated by the partnership established between IDB ConnectAmericas and Mujeres ConnectAmericas, this research by IDB INTAL aimed to document and understand the factors and limitations involved in the internationalization process of 24 women leading export companies and cooperatives in LAC. The exploration of issues at the intersection of international trade and gender holds crucial importance for the Institute for the Integration of Latin America and the Caribbean within the IDB's Integration and Trade Sector. These considerations are integral to comprehending and transforming the productive structure of countries in the region. This transformative process requires commitment from both public and private actors, as well as civil society, to shape the economic landscape effectively. |
