dc.description.abstract2021 has been a year of momentous change for MICI. In another year marked by the extraordinary circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ensuing challenges to case management and activities overall, we also saw changes in our team. After the external evaluation conducted by OVE, we set in motion an action plan that will allow us to advance over the next five years in strengthening the accountability system of the IDB Group and the environmental and social outcomes of the projects it finances. Regarding the cases we managed, the number of new complaints has returned to normal after the drop we saw in the first year of the pandemic. Agreements were reached between the affected communities, project managers, and the Bank in two active dialogue processes in the Consultation Phase, whereas the Compliance Review Phase completed a complex investigation with innovative measures to further influence in the sustainability of the IDB Group.
