dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of this report is to show the current state of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The report provides an overview of the transport problems encountered in the LAC region, an analysis of the potential benefits gained when implementing ITS applications to the transport sector as well as a description of the ten most relevant applications demanded to solve the current problems of Latin American cities.
