| dc.description.abstract | Sixty objects and historic documents from the Historic New Orleans Collection, the Louisiana State Museum, and the New Orleans Museum of Art, including maps, photographs, lithographs, land deeds, silverware, earthenware, woodwork, msuic sheets, and even the trumpet of jazz great Dave Bartholomew. The "River and a City" section gave an overview of the history of New Orleans since discovery, and the "Unique Cultural Blend" section highlighted cultural expressions unique to the city itself. The exhibition was organized in honor of the City of New Orleans, site of the 41th Annual Meeting of the IDB Board of Governors in March, 2000. |
