| dc.description.abstract | For many years the artistic movement in the Dominican Republic was a -best-kept secret. Their growing international contributions to contemporary visual arts have been changing that picture, but may also be characterized by even greater drive, selectivity, and regularity. We could say that of all the islands of the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic is, along with Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Haiti, the country most prolific in regard to modern and contemporary artists. |
