Companies providing water and sanitation services face the need of improving continuously to offer quality services, ensure coverage and operate in an efficient and timely manner. To achieve this, companies must have robust business models and internal learning schemes for the strengthening of their technical and human capabilities, as well as planning and management models aimed at improving and implementing successful transformation processes. For this reason, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with the collaboration of the International Water Association (IWA), developed a knowledge product aimed at supporting the transformation processes towards the improvement of water and sanitation service companies, called AquaRating.
