| dc.description.abstract | This Brochure provides an overview of the activities of the Vice presidency for Private Sector and Non-Sovereign Guaranteed Operations. The IDB Group includes four private sector windows that offer complementary products and services: The Structured and Corporate Finance Department (SCF), The Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC), The Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) and The Opportunities for the Majority Initiative (OMJ). These four windows work together to promote development through the region's private sector. The IDB provides funding and technical assistance to a broad range of private sector players whose operations and projects have a positive impact on the social and economic development of the region. They range from microenterprises to large companies, and also include financial institutions and other partners, such as mixed-capital entities and civil society organizations. In recent years, the Bank has considerably expanded the range of sectors in which we provide financing for innovative and sustainable private sector projects. |
