| dc.description.abstract | The IDB Group, guided by its Strategy for Microenterprise Development, has made the creation of a sustainable market of services to the sector one of its most important priorities during the past decade. This report presents an overview of the contributions the IDB has made to the microenterprise sector, outlining success cases and highlighting some of the important lessons learned during the last ten years. It provides the reader with a sense of the accomplishments of the IDB, but also with a general understanding of the context in which IDB support has taken place. Finally, it serves as a blueprint for further action in the donor community, identifying recent trends and innovations and indicating some of the IDB's priorities for the coming years. |
