dc.description.abstractThe presentation discuses incentives used to support innovation in the private sector in Brazil. It focuses on the incentives for supporting firms' innovative activities, which include a wide range of programs, such as: Sectoral Funds, Industrial, Technological; Foreign Trade Policy; and new regulatory and legal environment. It was prepared for the IDB's 1st Hemispheric Meeting of the Science, Technology and Innovation Network held on April 16th-17th, 2007 at the IADB headquarters in Washington DC.
