dc.description.abstractThis presentation was commissioned by the Poverty Reduction and Social Protection Network of the Regional Policy Dialogue for the 3rd Hemispheric Meeting celebrated on May 23rd and 24th, 2002. This presentation evaluates the direct impact of microcredit programs on the micro entrepreneurs and the economy, looking at specific cases in Brazil and Chile. The methodology and best practices of Microcredit cases are weighed with data from the study results.
