This monograph provides a thorough analysis of Jamaica's energy policy and planning, its electricity sector (institutional, regulatory, technical and economic aspects); the dynamics played by the oil and petroleum sectors and renewable energy options to be considered for the future. It also highlights the insights gained to discern the challenges that the country confronts in the respective sectors and explore ways in which the IDB can further work as a partner with the government of Jamaica in surmounting those challenges.
