dc.description.abstractThis paper presents new evidence on migration and risk among Mexican migrants to the United States living in the New York City area. The paper examines the potential demand for formal risk mitigating mechanisms by studying some of the risks facing this community on both sides of the border, and provide greater understanding of their current informal risk management tools.
