dc.description.abstractThis 5th Annual Sustainability Report covers sustainability progress and performance in the 2009 fiscal year for the Inter-American Development Bank. In 2009, the Bank achieved record lending levels, which included 33 new loans totaling more than US$3.5 billion for environmental improvement, climate change, and renewable energy. Included in this report is a discussion of, among other topics: water and sanitation goals, record funding to cut disaster risk, new guidelines to limit emissions, strategy on climate change, and the Bank's Advisory Group on Sustainability.
