This review signifies the Banks ongoing commitment to report its progress in integrating environmental and social sustainability and accountability into its operations. In particular it focuses on the Bank's efforts to implement its new safeguards policies and, in doing so, to manage the environmental and social impacts of IDB-financed work more effectively. This report reviews the 2006 activities for both the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) - two members of the IDB Group. It was developed with data and analysis from an internal working group drawn from throughout the Bank, ensuring that each section benefits from information generated, analyzed, and reviewed by Bank specialists.
