This Country Program Evaluation with the Dominican Republic (RE-371) covers the period from 2004 to 2008 and it's the second evaluation by the Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE) of the IDB's programming with the country. The analysis of the strategic relationship established by the Bank with the Dominican Republic over the long term indicates that future strategies and programming decisions should pivot on considerations of the country's socioeconomic vulnerability. The report is organized as follows: the First Chapter offers a general background; the Second Chapter is on programming and is devoted to the strategic relevance of the IDB in the Dominican Republic; Chapter Three deals with the execution of the Bank's Program in the Dominican Republic; and Chapter Four presents the results of the Strategy.
