This publication is based on the studies on the transfer of climate change technologies (CCT) (also called environmentally sound technologies, EST, or TAR, for its Spanish acronym) related to energy efficiency and renewable energies, which were led by the Bariloche Foundation as part of the project “Mechanisms and Networks for the Transfer of Climate Change Technologies in Latin America and the Caribbean”, implemented by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The document offers an integral overview of the state of the art of CCTs, their potential, main barriers to implementation and lessons learned in the Region.
