This study, financed by the Integration and Trade Sector (INT) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), is based on a survey of the APEC in which 16 out of the 21 economies participated. It aims to describe the current status of Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs) in the APEC region and compile best practices and experiences in order to evaluate the programs overall progress and identify challenges as well as new areas of opportunity tied to specific issues.
