This paper presents a selection of 39 important works (paintings, sculptures, drawings, engravings and photographs) by recognized
Caribbean artists from Barbados, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago,
Haiti, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Suriname, and early Cuban masters
such as Amelia Peláez, Juan José Sicre and Mario Carreño,
in the collection of the OAS Art Museum of the Americas,
on loan to the IDB Cultural Center for this exhibition.
