dc.description.abstractThe summary of the Second Update to the Institutional Strategy of the IDB Group provides an overview of the Group’s priorities for the coming years to support the economic and social development of Latin America and the Caribbean. This update, approved in 2019, reinforces the Group’s emphasis on promoting social inclusion and equality, productivity and innovation, and economic integration in the region. The Group will seek to accelerate progress in each of these areas by promoting technology adoption and innovation, increasing the mobilization of resources for the region’s development needs, and further mainstreaming the cross-cutting issues of gender equality and diversity, climate change and environmental sustainability, and institutional capacity and the rule of law throughout its operations.
