Energy Database
Date
Jul 2014
The Energy Database is a time-series interactive quantitative and qualitative information system on how countries produce and use energy by fuel source and sector and a description of the energy sector industrial organization and institutional framework. This tool contains data on the IDB's 26 borrowing countries (plus Cuba), and for comparison purposes, on other major producing or consuming key countries and regions. The eight quantitative visualizations transform and combine information sourced from the International Energy Agency and in the case of a few Caribbean countries, information gathered from other sources, to help inform and facilitate analysis on energy production and use. The information contained in the three qualitative visualizations on markets and regulatory and legal frameworks was gathered in-house by INE/ENE.
