TY - GEN AU - Luna, Daniel AU - Campos, Fernando AU - Otero, Carlos ED - Tejerina, Luis ED - Nelson, Jennifer TI - Interoperability in Digital Health: Reference Material PY - 2019 Y1 - 2019/11/13 DO - 10.18235/0001929 AB - The growth of digital health strategies has increased health professionals access to their patients health information, but one of the key problems in health informatics remains the lack of interoperability between different information systems. Better access to information, including health records from other institutions, is still needed to improve the quality of care and establish continuous patient care. To improve the quality and safety of patient care, doctors need this improved access with minimal disruption to their workflow, and that requires accelerating interoperability efforts.
