abstract = {Guatemala faces a severe triple burden of malnutrition under nutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, and rising overweight and obesity impacting all age groups and generating an annual economic loss of USD12.034billion (16.3% of GDP). Despite policy frameworks such as the 2005 National Food and Nutritional Security System Law and the Government Policy 20242028 prioritizing the fight against malnutrition, the country continues to experience the highest child stunting rates in LAC, persistent wasting, and high levels of overweight among women. To strengthen evidence-based action, the World Food Programme, SESAN, and technical partners conducted a Fill the Nutrient Gap (FNG) analysis to identify barriers to accessing nutritious diets, assess nutrient intake adequacy, and inform policies and programs aimed at improving access to healthy foods particularly for populations facing the greatest nutritional vulnerabilities.},
