The ESPF focuses on managing environmental and social risks and impacts, elevating respect for human rights. It prioritizes gender equality, non-discrimination of vulnerable groups, resilience to climate change, and biodiversity protection (prohibiting offsets in critical habitats). Ten Environmental and Social Performance Standards (ESPS) detail the requirements for borrowers, covering everything from risk assessment and working conditions to resettlement and stakeholder engagement.},
