abstract = {The updated protocol 2020 constitutes an essential reference document for people interested in applying the Index of Governance and Public Policy in Disaster Risk Management (iGOPP) in a given country. 
This protocol describes in detail through 245 files that correspond to each of the indicators that make up the iGOPP, the necessary steps to carry out the investigation, analysis and verification of the aforementioned indicators, including the explanation of the documentation that must be collected, the assessment process to be followed, in addition to offering a series of recommendations and examples based on previous applications experiences carried out in different countries. 
In the same way, the protocol guides the people involved in the application of the index to observe form and wording issues when filling in the iGOPP application matrix in order to maintain a uniform, accessible and easy-to-address style.},
