abstract = {This approach paper defines the objectives, scope, and methodology for the forthcoming evaluation regarding the Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) by the Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE). The MICI was established as a last resort mechanism whereby parties potentially affected by the IDB Groups financial operations could file complaints regarding the Groups alleged noncompliance with its relevant operational policies, primarily as regards environmental and social safeguards. This evaluation addresses the specific mandates set out in current MICI policies.},
